My hair is just below my shoulders, and I have short side bangs. I normally flat-iron it, or just wear it pinned to the side with a cute clip or whatever. But whenever I curl my hair, it only holds for like twenty minutes, and is gone before I'm going to whatever place I'm going to, which sucks.
So the question is: how do I get my short hair to hold the curls well, and make them last for at least a few hours? I
I normally just use a curling iron, and a light spray of Dove hairspray or something, but I'm open to options(: Are there any special products I need? Nothing out rageously expensive, pleaseee.
Thank you!How to get my short hair to hold curls well...?
My hair is fine and straight - it's very hard to get it to hold curls, especially in the windy climate here. Although I have long hair, this is the only thing that works for me:
- Hot rollers are a must. Definitely one of the best $20 purchases I've ever made!
- I apply strong hold mousse to wet/damp hair, although with some ';root boosting'; spray (not a must for you probably, unless you have fine hair, then I'd recommend it).
-Then I blow dry...
-Then I set my hair with the rollers and leave them in for at least 20 minutes, more is better.
-Remove rollers and finger-comb a little.
-Set with aerosol hair spray. My fav is Big Sexy Hair ';Spray and Play Harder'; but that's again because I'm looking for volume too.
This usually holds all day or night. It also works well on unwashed hair, like if you washed it the day before - then I still add a little mousse and always plenty hair spray.
I hope that helps! It's fun to try something different with your hair. How to get my short hair to hold curls well...?
well if you have a flat iron i would think you would have a blow dryer so you should blow dry your curls so then it will stay and ya. so i think that will help and maybe use a stronger hair spray
use a curl enhancing shampoo and a curl enhancing gel. scrunch it and let it dry.....then, use a non-stiff hairspray lightly and then, KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF and OUT OF IT!!!!! don't mess with it after it's 'done'....

i had curly hair before but i CUT MY HAIR TO A BOB NOW I FLAT IRONED A LOT AND MY HAIR IS now kinda straight with waves and split ends ? What can i do to make it curly again?I had curly hair before but i CUT MY HAIR TO A BOB NOW I FLAT IRONED A LOt how can i get my curls back?
Okay don't worry!
My Cousin has had the same problem.
Well check yourself into the shop because you have damaged hair :[
Your hair has been attempting to grow back to normal
getting those waves through to start but as you said you straighten your hair a lot. Almost 82% of girls who straighten their hair damage it by doing it over and over again with no rest. So if I were you I'd settle a appointment and pack up that hair straightener if you wish to have your hair back. My Cousin followed those orders and has thankfully gotten her full hair back and now her routine is Scrunch her hair, ponytail, and straighten different each day. See as she changed her schedule but was still able to do her hair!I had curly hair before but i CUT MY HAIR TO A BOB NOW I FLAT IRONED A LOt how can i get my curls back?
Hi i have long hair and what I would recommend is that you get your ends trimmed really nicely and STOP flat ironing your hair so much because, that is what makes it brittle and also makes it break off. Go to a professional hair stylist that you know and let them trim it up nicely and let it grow out, so that you can get your hair back to normal. I also recommend that during this time you get your hair washed and afterward get it deep conditioned a couple of times to get your hair back enriched.
well it should just go back natural when you wash it unless you damaged it, if you damaged it dont flat iron it again and maybe go to the hair dresser i dont know if they can do anything but maybe they can.
Sounds damaged. Just stop doing so much to it, and is should grow in healthy. You have to wait for the damage to grow out.

HOW DO i GET SPIRAL CURLS IN MY HAIR?
i REALLY WANT TO DO SOMETHNIG WITH MY HAIR BECAUSE I ALWAYS FLAT IRON IT AND WEAR IT SRAIGHT. I KNOW THIS IS PROBABLY A STUPID QUESTION, BUT HOW DO I CURL MY HAIR TO MAKE SPIRAL CURLS?HOW DO i GET SPIRAL CURLS IN MY HAIR?
if you dont want to damage your hair by using a curling iron to get spiral curls i suggest sleeping with them in rollers. make sure you get long stick like rollers that you can wind your hair around to give it the spiral curl effect when you take them out in the morning. hope this helps :)server

How do I look with curled hair?
So I curled my hair for like the first time EVER.
Yes, I know, that's strange, but I absolutely do not know how to use a curling iron, so I just used my straightner to curl it.
Anywho, curly hair makes my head feel a lot lighter and my hair less heavy and I would like to wear it out, but I'm not sure what people will say, especially since I barely know how to curl it.
So since this is the first time seeing me for you, tell me what your first impression is about the hair. Thank you!
P.s. Is the hair too flat on top and making the rest of the curly hair look weird?

How to get loose solf curls ?
I have hair like Felicity (the girl in the show), so in order to fit in a room with my big head of hair I use a flat iron %26amp; this gives me straight sleek hair I can manage and happy with. However, every now %26amp; then I wanna try and change things up a bit - have loose soft curls. This NEVER happens. I tried hot rollers after I straight my hair; it looks like a million bucks for 10 mins then straight again (yes I added some hairspray). I tried the curling iron same thing. I can only try curling my hair after I straight it, otherwise I can't even get my hands through it to try anything - curling iron or hot rollers. So how do I go from forest curls to straight beautiful hair to sexy soft curls???How to get loose solf curls ?
Your flat-iron will make prettier curls than a curling iron or rollers. It's tricky at first, but here's how to do it:
-First, you need a one-inch flat-iron (a big one will not work)
-Clamp the iron at your scalp
-Turn it one-half to one-full turn away from your scalp
-Run it through at an angle rather than straight through (like you're curling a ribbon with scissors)
-DO NOT CURL FROM THE ENDS UP--this will over-heat your ends and not heat the rest of your hair. How to get loose solf curls ?
i do not mean to be rude but why do women that have curly hair want it straight and women with straight hair want it curly , i am lucky that i am single becuase i think women are the hardest thing in the world to please , but the world would be a horible place with out them , i for one would miss them

What can I do with my hair that is very easy?
I have a flat iron, a bunch of ponytails, a couple headbands, curlers, and a curling iron(that i don't really know how to use). My hair is shoulder-kissing length. aahhWhat can I do with my hair that is very easy?
do a poof at the front of your head and then pull it into a ponytail! (if you dont know what im talking about email me)What can I do with my hair that is very easy?
I just cut my hair short and I was having the same problem, I didn't know what to do. You can try this and its very simple. BLOWDRY it. When I shower and let my hair dry, it's frissy and gets very wavy and all over the place, I definitely didn't want that. Now, when I am out of the shower, I blowdry it, and it looks very cute! try it and let me know what you think!
Well flat iron it the you should pull back a little bit of the hair that goes in front of you're face and pin it back
Try two french braids ..its cute but still 'formal' enough for orchestra.
do like a half pony that works best

HELP ME WITH MY POOFY HAIR!!! (pics of it included)?

i have school tommrow and i bought that mousse in the pic, herbal essence curl scrunching gel, and lustrasilk curl activator. I really want to get my poofy hair curly can anyone tell me how??
i used the curl activator yesterday and all it did was curl my hair a little here and there but it was still too poofy. thats what all mousses tend to do on my hair, it makes it sora wavy but it will still be puffy. I have A LOT of hair so i dont know what to do....
(ive tried straw curls and they kinda work but they take forever to do! i need something easier and faster, are you supposed to use something after using a curl activator, or should I try braiding my hair after putting mousse in it to make it curlier?)

Ok, so I have the exact same problem. I totally know where you are coming from.
First of all, cool it with the heat treatments. These cause damage that will only make matters worse.
After years of straightening my hair frequently I have breakage, which causes frizz and makes it hard to style. It also causes your hair to be even frizzier. There are better ways to have nice hair then to damage it.
Now first I must ask, do you brush your hair before school?
This is a big no no.
For our hair type this causes poofiness.
Curly hair should almost never be brushed when it's dry. Here's what you do:
Wash your hair every 2 or 3 days This sounds gross but actually it is great for your hair.
When in the shower, shampoo your hair a usual. Then add nice conditioner. Brush from root to tip.
When out of the shower add Organtix coconut oil serum. This is natural, smells great, repairs your hair, and does not test on animals.
Now add a mixture of Tressame gel and curl cream. Brush through.
Now Here are some heat free curling methods:

you probably have to get it thinned and then straightened.
you should ask your hair stylist. he/she would know
Yours will probably go easily into ringlets (like Shirley Temple). Just shape the locks with your fingers. My mum used to do this to my sister and she had hair similar to yours.
leave just a little conditioner in it when you rinse it in small sections use sum frizz serum then gel but make sure you get it from roots to ends because most of the poof comes from underneath then dont touch it it gets big when you mess with it if you touch it gets bigger

OK, since you are going back to school tomorrow I guess you are looking for a solution that doesn't involve going out and buying heaps of products?
So, I have a similar hair type to you,
what i do to get rid of poofiness is:-
Wash your hair in the shower.(if you have shampooed your hair within the last 48hrs just wash your hair with conditioner only, and no shampoo).
Roughly towel dry your hair, but do not brush it!!!!
When you get out put the following into a spay bottle and spray a fair amount into your hair:-
Your regular conditioner, about 4-6 tablespoons.
Any kind of hairspray, 3-5 second spray.
Water, 500mL.
After this, smooth it into your hair with a wide toothed comb, or your fingers. Do Not Brush!!!
Leave to air dry.
Hope this helps. :-)web server hosting server

How should i curl my hair?
i have really thick hair and it takes really long to curl it with an iron and its too think to put in rollers. i got a haircut a while ago that doesnt have layers so its really hard to curl and always comes out too flat when i put it in braids or buns over night. any suggestions on how to make it curlier? How should i curl my hair?
u could use a curling and a volumne product (such as big sexy hair, got 2B volume hairspray/mousse, Bed Head) also when u take ur overnight curls out of the elastic, twist the curl in the correct direction to make it more bouncier. also u could tease the top part of ur head (crown) to give a little more volume

take down the curls once the hair spray is dry
run your fingers through your hair

blow dry it to add lots of volume
and pin up your bangs with a puff just like your avatar
poof it and put it into a ponytail then with your bangs twist them and clip them off to the side
You could pull it up into a messy bun, half ponytail, low ponytail or something like that. Here are a few things you could do:

Hair curling for short hair help?
hey :)
alright so my hair is pretty short like shoulder length. i also have fine hair. i always try to curl it with a curling iron but it never works!! it just comes out crimped. i also have a straightener and i dont know how to curl with that either. i have really flat hair and i wanna do something different (particularly curls) but i dont want it to be super big curls just like soft waves like vanessa anne hudgens. please help me!!!
p.s i dont wanna go out and buy anything. are there any natural ways?
thankyou so much for your time :)Hair curling for short hair help?
start off with like almost air dryed hair NOT DAMPED . you can try taking a paper bag and rip it into 1 inch peices of stripes , then take it side ways and get a piece of your hair and roll it up into it then tie it all the way to the top at the bottom layer . then for the top layer just roll then tie it half way then go to sleep or wait or something for until it drys then undo it and you should have nice natuaral curls . good luck [=Hair curling for short hair help?

How many times a month should I straighten my hair?
My hair is really curly and to make it curly I have 2 take a shower and scrunch my hair, instead of using gel and all that crap. But I like my hair curly and straight, but I don't want to burn out my curls with the flat iron. Can someone please tell me? Thanx! How many times a month should I straighten my hair?
My hair is also really curly. I do the same thing to get my hair curly. I also like my hair straight. I have been straightening my hair for a long time now and I probably straighten it 2 or 3 times a week. It doesn't really matter how often you straighten your hair as long as you condition it. When straightening my hair I use a hair lotion and olive oil for hair. This should protect your curls. How many times a month should I straighten my hair?
do whatever you want
You won't burn out you're curls! When you straighten your hair next time blow dry it first so that you're hair isnt wet when you straighten it and if you're really concerned about ';burning out your curls'; put your straightener on the lowest setting and remember not to hold the flat iron on just one length of hair or it will burn through. you can also try straightening serums like Fantasia Hair Polisher Heat Protector Straightening Serum(CVS) which helps make straightening your hair easier and protects from heat so you won't ';burn out your curls.'; and as for straightening your hair to DO IT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT but i reccomend using the serum.clipping nails dry

When you straighten your hair next time blow dry it first so that you're hair isnt wet when you straighten it and if you're really concerned about ';burning out your curls'; put your straightener on the lowest setting and remember not to hold the flat iron on just one length of hair or it will burn through. you can also try straightening serums like Fantasia Hair Polisher Heat Protector Straightening Serum(CVS) which helps make straightening your hair easier and protects from heat so you won't ';burn out your curls.'; and as for straightening your hair to DO IT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT but i reccomend using the serum.

Get yourself a CHI. It is a cermanic flat iron and it is amazing. My hari is just likeyours thick and wavy. But a chi will make it so flat and silky. It is expensive but you will love it.Hair HELP!!!!!?
hi! sorry i was not able to look at your picture but i may have some ideas for you to try :)! my hair is also real short thick and wavy and i have sweepy bangs. you can use your straightner to slightly curl it under or out ...you shouldnt try to actually ';curl'; it, you will only get kinks that look real bad lol! just barely tilt your straightner which ever way u want your hair to flip. another easy way would be to put twisties in the top you could leave the bangs out or put them back. you could do head bands. you could even try scrunching it lol..thats all i can think of right now ...hope i helped :)

Help with hair problems?
I straighten my hair every school day. My hair is naturally very curly. The only thing I do to my hair is straighten it, no curling iron or blow dryer or anything just the flat iron. My hair has become very damaged but going to school with my curly hair is....becoming more of an option but not a full time solution (all I can do is put it in a pony-tail and hope it doesn't eat anything...or anyone). Do you have any suggestions on how to wear my hair curly, straighten my hair with less damage or really anything you think might help me.
(i.e shampoo, conditioner, hair straightener, products etc etc etc)
Thank youHelp with hair problems?
My mother is a hair stylist so I have grown up knowing that you have to put money and time into your hair. You dont say what kind of flat iron you are using but according to my mom, me and my 19 year old daughter if you are not using a Chi you are damaging your hair. And if you are using a Chi and not using Chi straightening products you are still damaging your hair! Also your shampoo is not actually all that important but your conditioner is. We all use Redken products which you can buy at a salon or at a little shop in the mall whose name escapes me right now but they sell all kinds of hair products. The other thing you have to do is CUT your hair. The further hair gets from the head the more damage so you have to cut about every eight weeks or so to keep the dead, damaged and split ends away. Good healthy hair costs money and there is no getting around that.Help with hair problems?

Hair style tips asap!!?
Ok, so i washed my hair this morning and let it air dry today. I'm goin out later tonight, and need some ideas on how to style my hair without using a flat iron or curling iron. I know, doesnt leave me with too many options since I didnt apply and gel or volumizing mousse. Also wandering if there are any products I can apply after my hair has dried? When my hair air dries, its pretty straight, but a little wavy also. Guess what I'm trying to say is its not the real big volumed wavy hair, but straight with some waves. I'm trying to stay away from the blow dryer and any hot irons right now, to give my hair a break. I'm considering not doing anything to it, except maybe pulling the top sides back in a little clip and goin for the undone ';kinda messy'; do! B/C to me it actually looks ok, just wandering if anyone had any ideas. Maybe i've answered my own question, but any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Goin very casual tonight, so I dont wanna do too much to it. Thanks girls!!!Hair style tips asap!!?
Hmm. I know just the thing.
Take a little curl enhancing gel, or scrunching gel and scrunch your hair all over, giving it careless and beachy waves. Take the front and pin it back on you head in the middle with only a small hump.

Your morning?
I want to know what your morning routine is. what time you get up, what products you use, and how long it takes you.
Also, how should I do my hair and make-up for school? I have thick, strawberry blonde hair, past the shoulders and layered. The stuff I have I can use includes:
Big and small curling iron, flat iron, hair dryer, straightening cream, curling gel, mousse, tons of lip gloss (clear and two tinted, one peach the other pink), blush, powder, a quad of pink/white shadow, purple and gold (HIP collection) shadow, a peach/gold trio shadow, clear mascara, eyelash curler, brown and lilac liner.
please and thank you! oh, and about one hour in the morning to get it all done.
my other info: pale skin, blue eyes, freckles, 5'3';, roundish face with nice cheekbones but not much skin, a long neck, cool undertones, yea...etc...Your morning?
Hi! =D
First I wash, tone, and toothbrush. [ I use Clean%26amp;Clear ]
Then I straighten my hair; apply my gel %26amp; hairspray.
[ Straightener = Conair. Gel = BigSexyHair. Hairspray = BigSexyHair %26amp; Dove (somtimes) ]
After I start doing my makeup. I usually go for a natural look.
I apply my moisturizer with SPF 15 [ Olay Complete ] in it.
Then I use my conealer.
Then apply a really thin coat of foundation.
[ Neutrogena (I'm trying to buy Bare Escentuals ]
[ Concealer = Physician's Formula ]
Then I start doing my eyes. I apply an eyeshadow liner [ MAC, WetnWild, CoverGirl ]most of the time because it's really hot where I live, so applying regular eyeliner is just a waste because it'll just start smudge after an hour or so. Sometimes I apply fluidline [ MAC ], during the winter or cool days I do apply regular pencil and liquid eyeliner [ Maybelline's Unstoppable Pencil Liner %26amp; Maybelline's Ultra Waterproof Liquid Liner ] . I apply my pencil on my top lid [ only my top lid ] then over the pencil line I apply my liquid liner.
But anyways xD
After that I curl my eyelashes and apply my mascara. Sometimes on the top only sometimes on both top%26amp;bottom lashes, it depends on my mood. I don't usually apply eyeshadow because I don't really feel that I need it. I usually only wear it when there's a special occasion.
[ Mascara = Maybelline's Unstoppable, Define a Lash, %26amp; Great Lash.
Eyeshadow = MAC, Wet%26amp;Wild, Covergirl ]
Next, I lightly powder my whole face to set my foundation. I waited after I did my eyes so the foundation could set. Then I apply my blush.
[ Powder = Neutrogena Skin-clearing Pressed Powder ]
[ Blush = Maybelline's blush line, CoverGirl TruBlend Blush ]
Finally, I put carmex on my lips and put lipstick. Yest, lipstick. Sometimes lip-gloss, sometimes both. Again it depends on my mood.
[ Lipstick = Maybelline's Moisturizing Lipstick %26amp; CoverGirl's TruBlend Lipstick. ]
[ LipGloss = Loreal Colour Juice %26amp; Maybelline's Shine Seduction ]
Then the final step I take is. I wet a paper towel and then squeeze it. Then I lightly really really lightly pat my face. I do this to get rid of any extra powder or foundation hanging loose.
Estimated time: 45-60 minutes.Your morning?
you were a lot of makeup make sure you dont look fake
Wow your physical features sound exactly like me.
Ok well i usually blowdry and straighten my hair the night before and then straighten the kinks out in the morning. Then i apply mascara (brown), curl lashes and sometimes light brown eyeliner and a little foundation. Just make sure not to overdo your makeup!
Thats about it... oh and a little tinted chapstick sometimes... lipgloss always looks to heavy though.
i get up a 6:30 and have to get the bus around 7:20, so i have about 45 minutes in the morning.
i used to spend a hour every morning getting ready when i was in high school.
when i started working and going to college everyday, it was cut to about 30 minutes for work and 20 for school.
now i am about to graduate and start my career, and i can get ready in 10-15 minutes everyday with a look that i like and is not complicated. i can straighten my hair, do all the necessary skin care and random bathroom stuff, do foundation or powder, blush, a shadow or two, liner, mascara, and lip color in that much time, and look great.
for a special night out with my husband, i spend a good 45 minutes, and for church i spend about 30.
what takes the longest is searching for the products i want... i have tons and tons of makeup!!!

For those who are good with curling hair with a straightener...?
I have a 2'; flat iron and my curls usually turn out something like this (ignore the length):
http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/gallery鈥?/a>
Basically kind of big and bulky and curls inwards.
But I wanted to know if anyone knows how to get curls that look more like this, looser and doesn't have that curled/rolled look:
http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/gallery鈥?/a>
or
(minus the gel/spray) http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/gallery鈥?/a>
I know it's possible with my straightener because it came out like that by accident only once, on just one piece of hair. I have no idea what I did though. For those who are good with curling hair with a straightener...?
To be honest I don't know how to obtain that with a straightener but you can get a look like that by using product. When your hair is wet put in gel and moose and scrunch your hair with a wet cloth. for tighter curls scrunch a lot for looser curls like you want scrunch less and play with it a little with your handsFor those who are good with curling hair with a straightener...?
A loose spiral perm will do it. Otherwise mousse or gel is neccessary I think. Good Luck
its easy
1) take some of your hair place the strightner right at the top of the hair( root )
2)place the strightner horizontally
3)hold the end of the hair(the tip)
4) move the strightner down slowly dont let go of the tip of the hair..... (the slower you move the tighter the curl )

Im 13 and i wanan use a curling iron for the first time please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
ok so im 13 and i watch a video on youtube how to us it but i wanna put something in my hair before i curl it with the iron so it won't damage it or burn it but what help me i need advice !
Q1: what should i use before using the curling iron?
Q2: and what's the different between a flat iron and a curling iron
Q3: how long should i heat the curling iron before using it?
and BTW my hair is thick and dryIm 13 and i wanan use a curling iron for the first time please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
1: You should use a heat protection spray. I recommend you ';Tresseme Heat Tamer Protective Spray';. Many people use it, including me, and it works pretty good. It also helps your hair keep its style a little. Here is a picture of the heat spray just in case:

2: A flat iron is mainly to straighten your hair. It can also curl your hair too at the same time. A flat iron can make many style like crimping it or making your hair wavy. A curling iron is just to make your hair curly, in my opinion, the curls come out better looking than when using the flat iron. If you want to buy a flat iron, I recommend you a chi straightener. I don't really know much about curling irons since I don't curl my hair that much since it takes a long time for me.
3: It really depends, but 2-3 minutes would be great.
Just to warn you, since you said you hair is thick a dry, if you keep using these irons, it can make your hair crazy dry. You'll have A LOT of split ends. I have the same type of hair like you, and I straighten my hair everyday for a year. Gosh, my hair was a monster after that. Especially since I have thick hair, it's poofy and hot, because of summer. So just warning you, it's a lot of hair caring. You should let your hair rest sometimes.Im 13 and i wanan use a curling iron for the first time please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Any product with thermal protection will help
A flat iron is a straightener
and you should wait until its fully heated.
1. U should use a protecting serum, you can get it in any pharmacy or store that sells hair product.
2. A flat iron staightens your hair a curling iron curls it.
3. depends on the curling iron
-Answer to Q1: Buy a special spray from your hair dressers or hair shop, it prevents hair damage from heat styling.
-Answer to Q2: Flat irons straighten and you also have the option of curling and curling irons are made for curling. If you already have flat irons, just use them
-Answer to Q3: It all depends but usually for a minute. If your hair is dry then you could try using a moisture therapy sachet from the shops to give it more moisture before you make your hair any dryer.
1.I use a protective hair serum in my hair any is fine really.
it keeps your hair shiny and soft and protects it from major heat.
I use John Frieda Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum works great :)
its about 9 dollars or so but you can get any kind for around 3 bucks any kind works great.
2. A flat Iron has two plate the you press together to straighten hair a curling iron has a round iron with a a rounded plate to curl.
3. Well it depends on what kind of curling iron you have.
Mine has a red light it blinks when its hot. but to be safe wait about ten minutes or so.
my hair is also think and dry just use the protective hair serum before you curl or straighten your hair and apply a little after your done.
*Note: do not use to much hair serum it will make your hair greasy.
and apply all over.
Good luck kiddo :)

Why is my hair doing this?
Before you read this you should know my hair is really curly and thick and I almost always flat iron it.
Ok my cousin showed me how to make my hair curly with the flat iron on my b-day and it turned out super good and she told me she puts like 3 sprays of hairspray in it and it will stay overnight. A mistake we might of made (well, my cousin might of made) was that we put too much hairspray in. The next morning it was completely straight again (I flat iron my hair straight before i curl it) so i tried to do it again which we failed at because of the hairspray. I went home and tried again (after brushing all the hairspray out). It stayed for like 20 min and fell straight again.
FOR PEOPLE WHO DONT WANT TO READ ALL THAT MUMBO JUMBO: bassically when i curl my hair it falls straight after 10-20 mintues
I'm thinking it might have fallen because of the excess hairspray, or my hair type, but i need another opinion
and also help with trying to keep it curly all day w/ out too much falling, thanks!
best answer for someone who is most descriptive!!!!!Why is my hair doing this?
everyone's hair is different no matter how much they seem alike. your hair might be thicker and you didnt specify the length so your hair could be too heavy. instead of trying to straighten it first then curling, try this. do you hair in sections and spray each section with a heat sealer before putting the iron on it. dont straighten first but use the iron to curl from the begining for a smoother curled look. if that doesnt work talk to your stylist because there are people that have hair that wont hold an iron curl, and if thats the case i cant help you without seeing it.Why is my hair doing this?
umm? why do you straighten your hair then curl it again if it's already curly??
i think it might have something to do with the hairspray. maybe your cousin uses a different kind. it might help to use the kind of hairspray that makes your hair crunchy instead of the one that just makes it stiff.
or maybe just work with your natural curls with gel and herbal essences spritz
I don't have an exact reason why that is happening, but it might have something to do with the fact that you straighten it before you curl it. Try straightening it one day, and then curl it the next and see if it holds better. Also, maybe you should use an actual curling iron instead of a flat iron so it gives it more of a precise curl? Because flat irons are meant to straighten your hair, and maybe it's easier for your cousin to do it on her hair instead of on someone else's.

How should i wear my hair with this dress?
im not sure how to put in a picture, but anyway it is pink and looks strapless but has like a halter top that starts in the middle so it kind of looks like a necklace so im not wearing one. i have long wavy brown hair and i have a flat iron and 1'; and 2'; curling irons. How should i wear my hair with this dress?

How to get curly hair?
ok so i have flat, brown hair thats long and i was wondering how to get curly hair without curling it with a curling iron because that really damages your hair!! thanks if you answer! How to get curly hair?
Well I use a flat iron to curl mine, but if you don't want to use electronics I would say wash your hair and put some mousse in it. Then I would put rollers in and blow dry it, then take the rollers out.How to get curly hair?
you could braid it (french braid if you want curls in all of you hair)
you could also put it in a bun over night
or put your hair in velcro rollers
Well, what i do is, when i get out of the shower, towel dry it a bit, then put mousse in, and scrunch it. You can either leave it to dry, or dry it on low. Its a really cute result. Just make sure not to use a brush, or you'll ruin the curls.
to make it wavy you can braid ur hair at night and then open it in the morning
take a shower and while your hair is still wet out your hair into a lot of braids then go to bed then when you wake up the next day take out the braids voila
lightly gel ur hair, the get 2x6 inch rags and roll ur hair up in them, leave overnight.
get a perm!!!
lightly gel ur hair, braid.
crimp it!!!
Buy a permanent or impermanent hair curling kit, available from Superdrug. They're cheap too! :)
Listen to cassie, My ex usd to do it all the time and it was adorible.
Rag curls.
First: Get lots and lots of strips of cotton fabric
2:Put a barrette with 1 strip of cotton and put it on your head to keep the cotton still
3: twist little amounts of hair around the cotton
4:then using the leftover part of the cotton strip, wrap it around your hair.
5:tie it with the barretted hair.
6: repeat with all cotton strips.
*Use wet hair for maximum strength
*IF these instructions aren't clear, search on Google
Hope this helps
P.S. It will stay in for 3-5 days if you don't shower.
The more I sweat the curlier my hair gets. And when I say I sweat, I mean I sweat a lot and then it dries in my hair, then I sweat more and it dries in my hair, etc. Do that a few days and your hair will be curly.
Idk but i want to learn.
with wet hair use setting gel or setting spray and roll your hair. the more rollers, the more curls. the smaller the rollers, the tighter the curl. those pink hair rollers you see on TV actually work. it's best to sit under a dryer or you can use a blow dryer to help dry faster. or wait over night for your hair to dry. remove the rollers and use your fingers to gently arrange the curls. do not comb or brush. spray with a setting/holding spray.
